Mad Science investigates the colors in our world through interactive and amazing demonstrations!

Mad Science of Greater Kansas City believes that fostering a love for science, technology, engineering, and math at a young age will give children the confidence they need to excel in these fields. For over 30 years, Mad Science has focused on designing and testing experiments and activities that resonate with kids, which allows them to provide innovative, hands-on children's science programs to our community.

This program is free and open to all ages though it is best suited for ages kindergarten and up. 

This project is supported by the Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act as administered by the Missouri State Library, a division of the Office of the Secretary of State.

About the branch

Belt Branch was expanded and renovated in 2006 and occupies a unique space in a commercial strip-mall building on the busiest thoroughfare in town.  It is open 7 days a week and offers over 30 programs per month. You can also schedule a one-on-one technology appointment or apply to get a passport.
